Our Process

StarWalker Organic farms is passionate about holistic agriculture practices!

Organic & Regenerative Standards promote and enhance biodiversity, biological cycles, and soil fertility, and restore, maintain, and enhance ecological harmony. In other words, organic soil is important for our crops, plants, and animals to thrive. At StarWalker Organic Farms we have lived this belief that organic agriculture advances a healthier world. We have been Organic Certified for over 40 years, and were one of the first Organic Certified Farms in California.

Our certifier is CCOF. The steps involved in becoming Certified Organic through CCOF include- application and fees paid, review, on-site Inspection, compliance review with organic standards, and finally a certification for those who meet all standards. To remain certified, every operation must be renewed annually and continue to update CCOF of any changes to the operation. An annual renewal contract, fees, and onsite inspection is required. All of our crops and ground are inspected. From seed to hay bale our process is fully organic meaning the soil has had no synthetic fertilizers, chemicals, or pesticides (for at least 3 years prior to the first organic certification). In order to hold the CCOF certification and seal, Pesticide Residue & GMO testing is performed. This testing acts as a deterrent to fraud and helps to prove to organic customers that the standards are upheld.
